Art Analyzer uses GPT Vision and LLMs to critique uploaded artwork images, providing detailed analysis of composition, color, and emotional impact.
Art Analyzer is an application that leverages OpenAI's GPT Vision and other AI language models, specifically GPT-4, to analyze and critique visual art. Users can upload an image of a painting, drawing, or other visual art form, and the app generates a detailed analysis. This analysis covers various aspects such as composition, use of color, brushwork/texture, emotional impact, and originality/creativity. It also provides recommendations for similar artists and paintings. The application was developed using Python and Streamlit, and its source code is available as open-source on GitHub. A demo version is also published on Streamlit. To use the Art Analyzer, an OpenAI API key with an active subscription is required, which users must provide themselves. The tool is presented as an experiment to showcase the capabilities of GPT Vision and LLMs in art critique, acknowledging that for official analysis, human art historians and experts remain the primary resource.
