AlphaFold DB provides open access to over 200 million AI-predicted protein 3D structures to accelerate scientific research.

The AlphaFold Protein Structure Database is a collaborative project between Google DeepMind and EMBL-EBI. It hosts a vast collection of protein structure predictions generated by AlphaFold, an AI system developed by Google DeepMind. This system predicts a protein’s 3D structure from its amino acid sequence with accuracy competitive with experimental methods. The database offers free access to over 200 million entries, covering a broad range of proteins from UniProt, including human proteomes and those of other key organisms. It also includes predictions for protein complexes, prioritizing those important for understanding human health and disease. The data is available for both academic and commercial use under a CC-BY-4.0 licence, with attribution expected.
